Light a Light, Share a Night (Fundraiser)

Location: Ronald McDonald House of Columbia, SC

Sponsored by Colonial Life, the 9th annual Light a Light, Share a Night campaign is held throughout the month of July to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Columbia, SC.  During this time, more than 1,500 white lights are lit and serve as a way to honor and remember families who have made our House their home during their child’s hospitalization, or found care and comfort at the Ronald McDonald Family Room® located inside Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital.  For only $10 per light, supporters can cover the cost for one family to stay in our House for one night and help brighten the lives of families who are facing what is sometimes the most difficult time of their lives – the uncertainties of having a critically ill or injured child.

Guitar Hero Competition -Orangeburg:Palmetto State E-cademy, an online public charter high school is sponsoring a guitar hero competion to raise awareness of their school, and share information about this flexible, tuition-free high school. Cool prizes for contest winners will be awarded. PSE students take their high school courses online, are taught by state certified teachers, and are part of a thriving online learning community.
